I’ve been trying to build FPGA gateware for LimeSDR XTRX and got “ ‘ghdl_u_sync_hs_ack’ is an unknown type [LimeSDR_GW/gateware/LimePPSDO/src/build/ppsdo/vhd2v/vctcxo_tamer.v]”. This occures after Vivado is running “synth_design -directive default -top limesdr_xtrx -part xc7a50tcpg236-2 -include_dirs PATH/TO/LITEX/LiteX/pythondata-cpu-serv/pythondata_cpu_serv/verilog/rtl” . I have installed everything listed as requirements on the website Building the Project — LimeSDR FPGA Gateware (LimeSDR_GW) 24.09 documentation and sourced vivado (2025.1). I’d really appreciate help with the matter so I could build the project.

Looks like some tool version incompatibility. Which version of GHDL you are using?
Could you try GHDL 4.1.0 (Ubuntu 4.1.0+dfsg-0ubuntu2.1) [Dunoon edition] version. This version should work.
If not, would you be able to try with Vivado version listed in documentation (2022.1). I have not tried with 2025.1 yet.

I was running ghdl 6.0.0 installed from source, I reinstalled it with 3.0.0 version and now it compiled successfully. Thank you for your help !
