All read/write fail on my LimeSDR mini

SDRConsole

Thank you. I tried SDRConsole 3.0.3 on Windows 10 and it works! Thank you very much. I was about to throw away my LimeSDR mini as garbage if you didn’t help me.

LimeQuickTest

I have found Testing the LimeSDR page (https://wiki.myriadrf.org/Testing_the_LimeSDR) and tried the test instruction. EEPROM test still fails though it works with SDRConsole.

Finaly

So Finnaly, what is the problem?

Is it hardware problem? did you capable to resolve ?

Hey, I think I have the same problem, what was your solution?

Solution was to use JTAG cable and program FPGA chip.

Thank you for the answer, but it did not work. I think it is a hardware problem

Hello, yesterday my LimeSDR mini fell, exactly as described by my colleagues :frowning:

I tested on 3 different computers on windows and linux, USB2 and USB3 ports

I have tried all the suggestions in this thread and others
LimeSuiteGui starts but won’t connect to lime

LimeUtil --find = works
LimeUtil --update = not working

can anyone describe how to program JTAG FPGA

LimeUtil --find
Currently my lime is identified (Linux-Ubuntu22) as:

  • [FTDI SuperSpeed-FIFO Bridge, media=USB 3.0, module=FT601, addr=24607:1027, serial=1D421234567890]

LimeUtil --update
Connected to [FTDI SuperSpeed-FIFO Bridge [USB 3.0] 1D1234567890]
libusb: error [udev_hotplug_event] ignoring udev action change
libusb: error [udev_hotplug_event] ignoring udev action change
Undefined/Failure
Update not supported: UNKNOWN[HW=0]

is there a chance to fix the lime? is there any service? paid
Thank you for your help

We don’t offer a repair service I’m afraid. Tagging @Zack for JTAG and any other suggestions.

Hi @Jacek,

To re-program the board you will need a cable:
https://wiki.myriadrf.org/LimeSDR-Mini_JTAG_cable_adapter

I suggest to read this thread for more information:

Hello sir, thank you again for your quick reply and willingness to help
I can send my Limesdr mini where it suits you, with full shipping and service costs covered  I care about LimeSDR Mini because it’s a scarce product and I have a lot of projects on it  and I learned a lot

I wanted to emphasize that the device “fell” itself without any interference from me! but for some time it could not pass FULL tests “LimeQuickTest.exe” whether it is a window or console version

Failure to pass the tests did not cause problems with reception until now when it completely died :(( but it is found in the terminal
“LimeUtil.exe --find”

  • LimeSDR Mini has always been plugged in with the antennas on
  • 97% of usage was receiving a signal
  • I have never connected any amplifiers
  • I did not unscrew the antennas on a working device
  • if I used the “lime” it lasted max 20 minutes
  • I was viewing the spectrum at a speed of max 5 MHz
  • a week ago it was still working (sd++, sdrsharp, sdrconsole, gqrx, gnuradio)
  • the next time you connect to the computer, the device is seen in the computer, but no software wants to connect to it, not even LimesuiteGui, when I select CONNECT, it hangs (linux, windows) 3 different computers (AMD x399 platform, intel platform)
  • FT600ChipConfigurationProg.exe - reads configurations and works

please enter your shipping address and I will send “LimeSDR Mini” with antennas
thank you very much for help

I’m afraid that we do not offer a repair service.
