I have been testing my LimeSDR with MXA N9020 signal analyzer these days. I found that the phase noise of the Limesdr is pretty bad and didn’t meet the spec in the datasheet of LMS7002M chip.
I use the LimeSuite GUI for testing and generate several carriers. I think is an issue about my settings. Someone can provide me a suitable .ini file?

I have noticed that the test data in RF and Analog Measurement Results document is better than my test data post above. Since the LMS7002EVB may have a more serious design for evaluation and the reference frequencies are different, can you guys provide us an official LimeSDR USB/mini tx phase noise measurement and a test configuration like your did for Tx output power measurement?

It is a little disappointing that the phase noise of LimeSDR mini was better than my LimeSDR.
Meanwhile, I find another issue which my limeSDR couldn’t pass the LimeSDR test app.

I‘ve tried to write the firmware again and the error seems gone.
Thought the phase noise is still a little higher than the measurement you made for LimeSDR mini, there seems no way to deal with this issue at the moment.
For reference, following is my phase noise measurement at 2665 MHz using attached LimeSDR mini phase noise 2665MHz.ini file with ref. clock changed to 30.72 MHz.

You use LimeSDR-Mini register settings file on a LimeSDR-USB board for your PN measurements. You should measure LimeSDR-Mini board ONLY with these.

I have tried the 10MHz out from a MXA N9020 Signal analyzer and the PN seems not to improve much.
I’ve bought a used ISOTEMP OCXO82-108 from AliExpress and I will test it after arriving.
Since the internal VCTCXO RPT7050A has very good PN performance (-130dBc/Hz@100Hz), I don’t think an ext. OCXO will improve much.
