I try to find windows software for lime mini, whith plugins for decoding, but I’ve noticed that it’s complicated under Windows.
SDRSharp, sdrangel, and sdruno don’t directly support Lime; it seems you need to be using Linux to have all the features. SDR console run, but no plugins directs for decoding.
I’m using GnuRadio under Ubuntu, but this is not a system
(out of the box) for decoding, but you can construct
DSP (DigitalSignalProcessing) with it.
LimeMiniSDR is directly supported with the Soapy blocks.
Also you can include LimeSDR_Mini with the LimeSuiteNG,
but I experience, that the LimeSDRMini with the driver
LimeSuiteNG, is not very stable and craches with cryptic
error massages.
If you are going to use GnuRadio with LimeSDRMini, it is better
(at the moment) to use the Soapy-Blocks instead of LimeSuiteNG.
Thank’s for messages. My objective it was to use it on windows And that’s where the problems begin.
The only software I’ve found that supports LIME is SDR++, but there’s a problem, as Crania mentioned: The best solution would indeed be to use Soapy, but that’s precisely the problem. SDR+++ and SDR Angel under Windows don’t use this backend, and LIME Mini USB V1 crash.
Maybe I’m wrong, but under Windows I have little chance of being able to use it (except SDR Console) but no decoding plugins.
I believe they do use SoapySDR on Windows, but the problem with Windows is that it does not have standardize locations for the software installs, therefore the software might not find the plugins in expected locations.
Yes, that’s probably the explanation, because when I run soapysdrutil --info in PowerShell, everything is correctly configured: soapi, lms7… and yet the software can’t find them. There might be some workarounds, but I don’t know. The LIMe V2 has a different processor than the V1, and V1 support is now obsolete under Windows. Thank you
