I can not comment regarding antenna itself, but do not understand why you want 6.5GHz.

Embarking on a journey into SDR. I wanted to make sure I get the right cables. For the USB I have ordered the micro-B style board. The cable I am looking at is like this one. I think the ferrites are a good idea but am I right?
