Hi @mscottm,
Could you try if LimeSuiteGUI is able to work with the board on your Linux machine, please.
Hi @Zack,
My Linux box is an older machine (I only use it for audio work), and will probably take some work get LimeSuite working, but I see your thinking. I will work on it and report back.
Thank you
Hi @Zack,
Okay, some more data! I booted up a laptop using a live Ubuntu variant on a flash-drive. When I plugged in the board it was seen in lsusb as openMoko, as on my older linux box. I started LimeSuite and it recognized the board, however, as on my windows machine, it is showing as a USB 2.0 device in LimeSuite:
As before, I am certain that my physical connections from the board to the computer are USB 3.0, and the computer USB port is SS-USB.
I went through the LimeSDR-USB quick test and saw the same results as on my Windows machine (before it stopped working):
And the signal receive test:
Note that on mine, there are no TX packets…don’t know if that is normal, but it doesn’t match the example on the website:
I tried to use CubicSDR to receive some strong signals, but couldn’t get it to tune a known signal (not too worried about this, it could be user error). While using CubicSDR, I noted the LED colors were: (two closest to USB plug) red / green - red closest to card edge, and (two further from USB) off / red - red closest to card edge.
After about a half an hour of playing around with it, the board stopped responding, and after power cycling it, it failed to be recognized in lsusb (or LimeSuite). I unplugged it and left it overnight. This morning, I plugged it back in and it once again was seen in LimeSuite, but after a while, it again stopped responding and is not seen in lsusb, and that is all I had time for this morning.
Best regards
Hi @mscottm,
Check with Crowd Supply if it is possible to replace your board.
