Is my new LimeSDR-mini broken?

Hello,

I received a new LimeSDR-mini a few days ago. I installed LimeSuite, updated the firmware, etc. But I get always failures when I run the LimeQuickTest. Could someone please let me know if my new device is broken? Or is the output expected like that? Or do I miss a configuration setting? I tested on Ubuntu Linux and Mac OSX. Same results.

Hi @miol,

Contact Crowd Supply for replacement, please. Sorry for inconvenience.
Do you have a chance to make a photo of the board and share?

Hi @Zack,

thank you for your quick response. I’ll contact Crowd Supply for replacement.

The mini is with the Aluminium case. Can/should I open the case?

Hi @miol,

No, leave it as it is. No need for photo in this case.

My Mini also failed at RF Loopback Test but device is working (TX and RX). Is it possible that LimeQuickTest make error in settings because Mini do not have TX_2?

My Lime mini also fails the quick test occasionally (passing LNA_W, failing on LNA_H). I wouldn’t call it ‘broken’ but it has some quirks. I don’t have an enclosure and I’ve I found that if I wrap my hand around the entire board (shielding) it ?I it actually ends up passing the all of the quick test items.

That being said, it works fine most of the time.
