Hello,
The TX2_2 RF transformer on my LimeSDR-USB v1.4s board has detached.
The PCB pads are intact. Based on my inspection, the detached component is a Mini-Circuits TCM1-63AX+.
Since this is a wire-wound component with naturally exposed coils, I want to verify if the bottom terminal pads or internal micro-wire connections typically get compromised when detached like this.
Questions:
-
Is it viable/safe to re-solder this specific detached unit, or is the risk of internal damage and RF performance degradation too high?
-
If replacing it is necessary, are there specific rework precautions or suitable equivalent parts for the TCM1-63AX+?
Thanks for any technical input.
Regards, Uhar.
