The board version can be found on the board’s silk screen, for example:
board_version

The fact that LimeUtil does not recognize the board, suggests two possibilities:

  1. the software is too old and does not have support for it. (You can check the software version with “LimeUtil --info”
  2. the board was programmed with incompatible gateware and is not functioning properly.
