Hey , I want to use a raspberry pi 5 to run lime sdr are there any issues I might have doing so ?
Which model LimeSDR?
Raspberry Pi 5 might struggle to supply sufficient current for a LimeSDR USB. At the very least you should ensure that you:
- Use a higher power USB-C PD power supply with the RPi ā e.g. official 27W PSU ā otherwise it will only supply 600mA max to its downstream USB ports.
- Use a high quality USB 3.0 cable to connect the LimeSDR USB. And in the event of issues, try different cables, as sometimes even brand name ones can turn out to be poor quality.
Thank you for the advice that a big help , so Iām currently using Geekworm X1202 4-Cell 18650 5.1V 5A UPS HAT for Raspberry Pi 5 to help with power . The specifications are.
