LMS8001 10 GHz limit

The new LMS8001 companion board looks very inviting. It’s unfortunate that the upper frequency limit stops just short of the 10 GHz amateur band allocation.

Pretty sure it tunes further, albeit with reduced performance. Related to which I believe that we’re looking into this and there should be some news in the coming weeks.

Great. Although not a show stopper if it can’t happen, amateur radio provides more than entertainment as it is a great educational (mine) tool and is also a proving ground in research.

Just remembered I did actually test this by using it with an original LimeSDR MIni to look at the signal from a gunnplexer.

Though stay tuned for something more concrete on this and hopefully an idea of what performance to expect.
