LimeSDR Micro M.2 power consumption

Hey there,

I am starting to draft a carrier board for the upcoming LimeSDR Micro M.2 Version.

The schematics show a possible input of 2.5A at 3.3V through the M.2 power pins (i.e. 8.25 W). Is this about the expected maximum power draw under full load? If not, is the power draw closer to the LimeSDR Mini with around 3W?

Input of 2.5A at 3.3V through the M.2 power pins is taken from PCIe specification. It doesn’t mean the board will consume 8.25 W.

Board should consume about 4 W, depending on configuration.

Thanks for the quick reply @Zack ! :slight_smile:Can you estimate the idle power consumption, i.e. the SDR is on but not transmitting?
