What is LimeSDR-Mini_factory? I haven’t been able to find documentation that describes the intended purpose or usage of this code and how it relates to LimeSDR-Mini_lms7_trx. I did notice that it uses the Neo430 cpu core. Is it obsolete? I’m hoping to make some experimental changes to FPGA logic and don’t want to miss out on anything interesting in Mini_factory.

There are two FPGA configurations (i.e. dual boot) in LimeSDR-Mini. LimeSDR-Mini_lms7_trx is usual user configuration, while LimeSDR-Mini_factory is responsible for LimeSDR-Mini_lms7_trx updates. And yes, factory configuration features Neo430 soft MCU which is not obsolete.
I would suggest to change LimeSDR-Mini_lms7_trx configuration for your application only. In this case you will preserve the ability to program user configuration from LimeSuite.
