Limesdr installation issues

I could be mistaken but it could be related to power again. Writing to flash typically takes an extra 40 to 60 mA on some of the chips I have worked with. Perhaps it is enough to kill it if your motherboard can’t source the current.

I hope that is just the case Rene.

I guess I’ll know tomorrow (ordered a 6v power supply off amazon) as I dont have any suitable adapters here as all my electronics stuff is packed away currently.

its sat in the gatemismatch state currently and both limesuite and dmesg is showing it as recognised as a limesdr and connected at USB3:

[348124.476512] usb 4-1: new SuperSpeed USB device number 47 using xhci_hcd
[348124.489158] usb 4-1: LPM exit latency is zeroed, disabling LPM.
[348124.490220] usb 4-1: New USB device found, idVendor=1d50, idProduct=6108
[348124.490221] usb 4-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
[348124.490222] usb 4-1: Product: LimeSDR-USB
[348124.490222] usb 4-1: Manufacturer: Myriad-RF
[348124.490223] usb 4-1: SerialNumber: 0009061C02CA1F0A

I notice the FX3 boot LED keeps going red and looking at dmesg again I can see that its repeatedly dropping out and reconnecting (the USB3 connection) so prehaps it could be a power issue as you suggest.

Cheers

Hi all,

I received my LimeSDR card (version v1.4s) a few days ago,
Unfortunately I can not run the test (LimeSDR-USB Quick Test).
There is no data transfer on the FFT Viewer.
Two status LEDs are lit in green and a third flashes alternately in red and then green.
I have the same problem with windows 7 64 bits and ubuntu 16.04 with the USB 3.0 connection of my PC (core i7 3610 QM , Ivy Bridge).

Same problems with a USB 3 powered HUB and with differents cables.

After a few seconds I have this error generated

The details of the commands line are as follows:

Do you think this is a hardware problem with my LimeSDR card?

Thank you for your help.

@Zack, @IgnasJ, do you have any suggestions?

Hi,

So tried using a 6v dc … still the same.

Its not even getting past the Westbridge state anymore.

Anyone got any more ideas

Hello Zack,
I can see that there could be some confusion about the jumper numbering as it appears to have changed with different versions of the board, your picture shows it as J17 where as the image posted at LimeSDR made simple - Part 1 shows the FX3 Boot jumper as J13.
Regards,
Bevan

Good catch! It was J13 on v1.2 boards, but is J17 on v1.4. Only the beta testing community received the former and this means that we need to get some images updated…

Hi @Zack,

Any other suggestions ?

Thanks

Hi,

@andrewback
@Zack
@IgnasJ

I still have problems

I performed additional tests with low level commands and Ubuntu 16.04

do you have any suggestions

Hi @phil020,

Could you send me register settings (ini) file you are using, please.

Hi @phil020,

By the way, what version of LimeSuiteGUI are you using? Could you post About window (Help -> About) printscreen, please.

and after a moment i have a repeated error “ERROR: No contexts left for reading data”
