Updating the hex file (is it necessary)?

I see the hex file inside of LMS7002m has been updated for Limesuite 20.10.

Do we need to program it manually?

What is the standart procedure?

LimeSuite --update is the only board related update you should need to do. AFAIK Lime Suite will take care of programming the LMS7002M MCU when required.
