When tuning the Rx filter in LimeSuite with TIA gain is set to Gmax, the pop up message “Rx Filter tune failed with high TIA gain” occurs along with ERROR: Tune Rx Filter: MCU error 13 (Rx CFB_TIA_RFE range limit reached); setting to Gmax-3 corrects the condition.
Is some special condition or setting required to tune the filter with Gmax or is it always required to tune the filter with Gmax-3 and then change to Gmax after filter setting if required?
Thinking about this a bit more, I suspect that since there is an interaction between R and gain, the search for R during tuning needs some headroom in TIA gain. So, Gmax should be set after the filter has been tuned; just my guess.
