Quick Test - Different results?

I’m getting different results on linux vs win10. As you can see below the penguin has a flat response while windows has a proper one. I don’t have as much fun on windows so this is a problem for me, maybe. Any Ideas? I have noticed when clicking CDMA on linux it loads almost instantly while on windows it takes about a second or two.

Windows is running latest as of 5/19/17. Linux reports 17.02.2-myriadrf1~xenial builddate 2017-04-30

The second picture on the top left is running a restart before, I maybe have jumbled up the steps resulting in a slightly different waveform on B.

It looks like WCDMA file is not loaded under Linux. Could you try to select WCDMA file using Open button (mall one) next to Custom button. When file is selected, push Custom button to upload. Let me know if this helps.

Hi @Zack
Also seeing a discrepancy between Linux & Windows:

Could you save register files in Linux as well as in Windows, please. Use “Save” button.

Hi @gerryk,

This is what we see under Ubuntu (it is latest version, compiled from GitHub):

This is what we see under Win10:

It looks identical to me.

Here is LimeUtil --info output under Win:

Hi @Zack
windows.ini - https://pastebin.com/JzeRVXsJ
linux.ini - https://pastebin.com/66iAetu9
/ Gerry

Hi,
I have tried loading both INI files.
linux.ini - works fine under both linux and windows.
windows.ini - does not work. Configuration look like default after reset. For me it seems like it was saved incorrectly.

Hi @gerryk,

The content of configuration files provided is different. Hence can not to expect the same results.

Thanks Zack,

I found that my desktop manager was hiding the extension and I was loading a zip file! I downloaded the file here https://github.com/myriadrf/STREAM/blob/master/apps/lms7_usb_distro_01v/gui/lms7suite_wfm/wcdma.wfm and I now have just about identical wave forms.

Hi @Zack
I guess there was some operational error on my part.
To pull the registers off the board, do I need to do Chip->GUI for both WIndows and Linux prior ro saving, and do the settings persist on the board through power-down?
/ Gerry

Hi @gerryk,

Data to the file are saved from GUI. Hence to be sure you are saving the actual configuration it is recommended to do Chip → GUI.
do the settings persist on the board through power-down?
The settings are reset after power cycle.

Hi @Zack
Ok these should be better.
