Are you compiling debug or release version?
Actually, this is wxWidgets asserts. Try to uncheck “Show this dialog nex time” and press Continue. FFTViewer should work.

This kind of asserts should appear when it is compiled for debug. Could you please describe a compilation procedure you are using just to help identify this issue.
