LimeSDR sensitivity

Hello,

I have been looking through the forums and through the data sheets and I am wondering what the sensitivity is on the RX end for the LimeSDR.

Respectfully,

Hi!

What do you mean by “sensitivity”?

If it’s the lowest receiving signal strength, then you can receive almost anything, as long as you narrow down the bandwidth of signal (till some reasonable extent).
For example for signal with 10 MHz bandwidth, the sensitivity of LimeSDR is around -70…-80 dBm (the signal needs to be that power to be decoded).
For 1 MHz it’s about -90…-95 dBm.

This heavily depends on modulation type, decoder performance, FEC, etc…

If you planning to use it as modem, you should read about Shannon’s theorem, it’ll explain some basics of channel bandwidth.
