LimeSDR Mini - Standalone Mode?

Hi,

I have a doubt regarding integration of LimeSDR Mini as a communication toolbox in hardware.

Can LimeSDR Mini run on its own like a standalone device by modifying FPGA gateware with the DSP codes or does it always need a host to run GNURadio in which the standards like WiFi, LTE etc are implemented??

To be clear, by host I meant a PC, raspberry pi or some other computing support.

Thanks

Generally needs a host. The FPGA is quite small and I’m not sure what useful design you could fit into there for completely standalone use. Though no doubt there are some applications it could support in this way.

LimeNET Micro is designed for standalone use.

Thank you for your quick reply. I thought as much and just wanted to be sure about it.
