LimeRFE price increase?

Hello!

As this is my first post here, I am not sure if this is in the right category but hopefully it’s not too wrong.
I am unable to find out why these boards have a sudden spike in price. I remember they being around 699 (?) USD, but now they cost 1499 USD on Crowd Supply.

Am I missing some update somewhere? For me this increase in price sets it firmly out of my reach. But I really would like to know why it more than doubled for no reason, that is easy to find at least.

It’s due to a combination of component price and manufacturing cost increases. Although mostly the latter and this is due to it being manufactured in small batches. Being a more niche product the demand is much lower than for the SDRs, and the cost increases sharply with much smaller manufacturing runs.
