Approx 5w ago my ERASynth+ was delivered to UK site, blame on me that just now managed some free time to test.
Out of the box unit was able to communicate like wireless AP using notebook and W10 / firefox browser.
USB Serial communication goes well, and W10 PC application is working too.
Good PS is must, I finally managed to use one 5V / 2.4 A PS from tablet.
RF out and SWEEP is working but some bugs are present so firmware update is necessary.
All of that is bit more complex than with Lime, you need arduino IDE and duo / ESP installation.
Than firmware upgrade for duo, and ESP, plus ESP web application.
That is on to do list soon…
I got one of these as well and have been putting it through its paces. It is very nice. I have used its 10Mhz reference output to sync up a HackRF board, and as an LO for an Upconverter to move the HF bands up to 400Mhz so that I could easily play around with them on the LimeSDR. I hooked it up to the $50,000 Keysight signal analyzer and verified the phase noise performance as well. It met or all exceeded all of the specs the Erasynth guys promised.
I haven’t done the firmware upgrade yet because I needed to use it as an instrument first. (it arrived a bit later than anticipated and so put some schedules at risk). Now that those are better I’ve got some time to follow their process. I’ve also wanted to redesign their web interface which I find non-intuitive so that it works more smoothly but again, project first, then potentially brick your gear
I was not able to run last step ->
13-) After a successful upload it is recommended to apply a FACTORY RESET (>PR with carriage return) if a modification is made related with the embedded non-volatile memory (FRAM) that stores the settings of the device.
Green LED is on, Arduino SW is able to read board info but communication is not possible.
