Can I expect lower latency on Linux compared to Windows?

  1. Can I expect lower latency when using Linux instead of Windows?
  2. At 55MS/s in 12 bits dual channel I can properly receive using latency="0.035" on Windows. Anything lower than that doesn’t work well. Could switching to Linux help?
  3. What’s the minimum latency I should expect in RX, ie roughly when I receive the samples on the host computer VS when the block was created in the FPGA?
