**Some notes on running LimeSDR PCIe on GNU/Linux**

- The Linux kernel must be compiled with `CONFIG_XILLYBUS=y` and `CONFIG_XILLYBUS_PCIE=y` to recognize the card. You can find them under `"Device Drivers -> Character devices -> Xillybus generic FPGA interface"` and `"Xillybus over PCIe"`.

- `LimeUtil --update` does not work with the PCIe card. You need to recompile the FPGA code yourself to update it. See [https://wiki.myriadrf.org/LimeSDR-PCIe\_FPGA\_programming](https://wiki.myriadrf.org/LimeSDR-PCIe_FPGA_programming) for this.

- Neither does `LimeQuickTest`.

- Keep your device cool. Strange errors may occur otherwise.
