# LimeSDR usb 3.0 doesnt work

when i try to update

```auto
root@ubuntu:/home/ddyw# LimeUtil --update

  But found version 0, revision 0
  Follow the FW and FPGA upgrade instructions:

I think you will need the new version of Limesuite to update it.

i’ve used Windows LimeSuit, it’s the latest version ,but it has the same error

I think you will need an Ubuntu user to help you from here, as I am not a user. I do not know how to do the FW/FPGA update on there.

You know how to do update in Windows? i’ve tried Windows LimeSuitGUI, error is the same (this is screenshot from ubuntu, but windows is same like this)

If you go to the USB chip manufacturer’s website, they have a tool to update it. I am waiting on the percolator for coffee. Once properly awake, I should remember.

Also, when LimeUtil is expecting V2, I think your Limesuite is out of date. I think it is on V4 now, but not sure. I will dig mine out & check that for you.

Yes, it is. I was at Spruce, as I knew it was a tree…  
The tool allows you to fully reprogram the firmware & FPGA & is foolproof.  
My Limesuite is from 6-9-2019 & I bet there is a newer one, too.
