Before reporting problems with your LimeSDR via the forums please make sure that you have first:

1. Followed the setup instructions on the wiki:

2. Ran the quick test procedure utility (LimeQuickTest) that is packaged with Lime Suite.

3. Watched episodes 1 & 2 of the Wireless Masterclass YouTube video series:
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OngF1T83JU&list=PLKf9sQQwTUJAuTEUTimRx8xRfKOvzO6Ad](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OngF1T83JU&list=PLKf9sQQwTUJAuTEUTimRx8xRfKOvzO6Ad)

If you have stumbled at the first or second step, there is a driver setup problem or possibly a hardware fault and in both cases this should be reported. While the WM videos should help with better understanding the LimeSDR platform, LMS7002 architecture and how to configure this for optimal performance.

Optional, but recommended also — in particular if you are developing applications — is to read through the LimeSDR Made Simple blog post series.

Thanks for the Quick Test. I’m just worked through it with a new LimeSDR-USB and thought it may be useful to offer some points which could be clarified since I can’t find a spot to offer edits on the wiki (I assume you’re the author, @andrewback).

In section 4.5, to test Rx it is specified that:

> In the ‘example.ini’ file the receiver is configured to use ‘RX1\_L’ input and so the antenna should be connected to this port.

However, in sections 5.3 & 5.4 no output connector is specified. TX1\_1 is what I used and it worked fine.

Again, thanks so much for the post!

The wiki seem to be down:

I haven’t been able to access it for the last couple days.

Does this README and particulary the quick test guide also apply to the LimeSDR Mini?

Edit: According to [this post](https://discourse.myriadrf.org/t/problems-with-limesdr-mini/2394/7) the quick test currently does **not** apply to the LimeSDR Mini.

The LimeSDR-USB procedure documented on the wiki does not work with the Mini, since this does not have DDR RAM and therefore is unable to play waveform files via Lime Suite. However, the LimeQuickTest utility that is packaged with Lime Suite now supports automated testing with LimeSDR-USB and LimeSDR Mini. Post updated.
