Hi there, currently having issues getting my lime Micro SDR’s (m.2 form factor) to show up when running the LimeDevice (or any other) command.

hardware configurations I’ve tried:

- geekworm x1500 board with raspberry pi 5 compute module
- m.2 to usb adapter
- tower PC (intel i7-8700k, 8bg ram)

Operating systems tested:

- Raspberry pi os Trixie
- Ubuntu 24.04
- Ubuntu 26.04

The step that currently seems suspicious is when checking the driver logs it looks like the limePcie driver is failing to progress past the init stage as seen in the log excerpt from

sudo dmesg | grep limepcie
[800.965021] limepcie: loading out-of-tree module taints kernel.
[800.966671] limepcie : module init v0.1.12-g5bc2d182

According to the documentation there should be additional output. I have tried every debug step listed in the documentation and more. Currently I have limeSuiteNG installed as built from source as the apt packages did not work (I fully removed all traces of the apt packages and rebooted to ensure there was no conflict between the two different installation types)
There are no errors in any logs it is just a silent hang.
apt update and upgrade have been done
on the pi system the m.2 slot is fully powered and enabled
all m.2 slots are of the correct version
all build and install steps have been attempted numerous times on all configurations
system clocks are correct
latest system appropriate headers are installed and up to date
all steps also attempted as sudo su

Hi, “limepcie” driver is for LimeSDR’s that are based on FPGA.
The LimeSDR Micro is based on NXP’s LA9310 chip, so it uses a different driver “la9310\_limesdr”.

You have built the ‘develop’ branch of LimeSuiteNG.

At this moment, all LimeSDR Micro related development is on LimeSuiteNG’s ‘limesdr-micro’ branch.

TY for the info, I have created a pull request on the git to update the build instructions && documentation to reflect this. Please review at your convenience [Update drivers.rst by izzard489 · Pull Request #416 · myriadrf/LimeSuiteNG · GitHub](https://github.com/myriadrf/LimeSuiteNG/pull/416)
